Reviewer guide

Test profile and worked examples for marketplace reviewers.

Test profile

Connect any MCP client to https://mcp.import.io/mcp and sign in with the reviewer account provided by the Import.io team through an approved secure channel.

The profile is least-privilege: the connection requests only the mcp:tools scope, so billing scopes are never requested or granted (the consent screen has a single Authorize action and approves exactly the requested scopes), and usage is metered by the standard trial quota. Credentials are shared out-of-band, never in chat or ticket text.

Example 1 — page text

Fetch and read the text of a stable public page.

importio_page_text({ "url": "https://example.com" })

Example 2 — product cards

Extract structured product cards (title, price, link) from a purpose-built scraping sandbox site.

importio_search_cards({ "url": "https://books.toscrape.com", "max_cards": 5, "include_snippets": true })

Example 3 — links and snippets

Find navigation links and quote text around a term on the same sandbox site.

importio_page_links({ "url": "https://books.toscrape.com", "include_context": true })
importio_page_snippets({ "url": "https://books.toscrape.com", "query": "£" })

Expected results

Example 1 returns normalized visible text. Example 2 returns up to five cards with title, price_text, and link. Example 3 returns resolved links with context and text snippets around the listed prices (£51.77 and similar). All three are read-only, require no login on the target site, and are covered by the structured output schemas.
